One night, after an especially long shift at my part-time job, I sat by my window with a soda, trying to wind down. It was around 2 a.m., and out of nowhere, I noticed the storage room’s light was on. Through the frosted glass, I could make out the shape of a woman moving around inside. She seemed to be pacing quickly in circles, which struck me as odd. No one would normally be in that room, especially at that hour. But, I was tired and brushed it off, finishing my drink before heading to bed.
The next morning, I came back from class to find police cars parked outside the nursing dorm. Curious, I asked one of the officers what had happened. They told me a nurse had taken her own life in the storage room the night before.
