For those of us deep in the food trends world of social media, there\u2019s too long a list to mention of products and menu items we\u2019re just desperate to try but realistically, will never get a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the all-you-can-eat KFC <\/a>buffet in Japan to the likes of viral<\/a> cookies and pastries in cities around the world. Or there\u2019s the fictional foods like a Krabby Patty from Spongebob<\/em> or a plate of Michael\u2019s spaghetti from The Bear.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it often feels like our dreams simply won\u2019t come true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although, McDonald\u2019s<\/a> might just finally be granting some fans\u2019 wishes as it brings over an \u2018infamous\u2019 US<\/a> menu item to the UK<\/a> for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there\u2019s not long to wait lads as the special shake is set to land in restaurants this month to celebrate McDonald\u2019s UK\u2019s 50th<\/sup> birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, shake. For foodies in the know, or just those of us deep in US memes on TikTok<\/a>, it might be obvious what this purple drink is. The Grimace Shake, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The legendary shake was first sold in Maccies in the US for a month back in 2023 to celebrate the 52nd<\/sup> birthday of the purple milkshake-loving character from McDonaldland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re finally getting the Grimace Shake. (McDonald’s)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It then had its second limited run in Canada earlier this year. And now, we\u2019re next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s fair to say the McDonald\u2019s shake went so viral thanks to the #GrimaceShake trend where TikTok users would drink the purple stuff and then film themselves in staged gruesome, weird situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But you know, you could just suck it up and enjoy the shake as a tasty drink rather than make weird videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Priced at \u00a32.69 for a medium and \u00a32.99 for a large, the Grimace Shake features a blueberry flavoured syrup blended with that popular Maccies creamy milkshake base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The iconic drink will be available at participating UK restaurants from 28 August until 3 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if you\u2019re desperate to get one earlier, there\u2019ll be a special shake pop up at London\u2019s Box Park Shoreditch from 12pm-6pm on 26 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll be getting the Grimace Shake just before the return of the ‘best ever’ burger.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yep, it was recently announced that the Philly Cheese Stack is set to come back to McDonald\u2019s UK in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
