During a difficult time, my mother, in the midst of a mental health crisis, unintentionally put me in danger. Thankfully, after some time, she was able to call for help, and I was rushed to the hospital. The incident left me with a visible scar around my neck, but more importantly, it began a long journey of recovery\u2014both physically and emotionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/image-905.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/image-905.png 1024w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/image-905-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/image-905-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/image-905-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the incident, I underwent multiple surgeries and spent years with a tracheostomy tube that helped me breathe. Although I healed in many ways, I was left with a permanent scar and vocal cord damage, giving me a high and breathy voice. I\u2019ve worked hard to overcome the emotional impact, and through support and resilience, I\u2019ve found strength in my survival.
