Tattoos have the potential to totally transform someone\u2019s look.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the reason it\u2019s so intriguing to view the pre-inking photos of the world\u2019s most inked individuals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mom with over 800 tattoos, Australia\u2019s most tattooed model, and the notorious \u201cBlack Alien\u201d<\/strong> have already left us in awe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the man known as \u201cBritain\u2019s most tattooed man\u201d<\/strong> has since revealed an unrecognizable photo of himself from before he earned the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known as the \u201cKing of Inkland King Body Art,\u201d<\/strong> Matthew Whelan is more than just a body painter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s a fan of other forms of body modification, telling his social media fans (as per the Mirror<\/a>): \u201cI alter my body, that is well established.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His unusual appearance has, however, been putting his health at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explains: \u201cMy transdermal implant (not micro dermal skin nip) surgical procedure is and has always been a 24\/7 open wound and from time to time can bleed, get inflamed, scab, or seep plasma.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe it to be an infection; however, the body is trying to heal an unwarranted hole punctured in it and a foreign object (a titanium disc and body jewellery), so it could just be the body mod version period just at that time of the month.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJokes aside, ladies, I know some of you suffer really badly in those.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to having several tattoos, Whelan has also sliced his tongue in half, removed his nipples to make room for them, colored the whites of both of his eyes black, and carved \u201cteeth marks\u201d<\/strong> into his ears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His name has also been legally altered to \u201cKing Of Inkland King Body Art.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it\u2019s some recent throwback photos that the tattoo aficionado shared on Instagram<\/a> that have tattoo enthusiasts buzzing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one, he captions a picture of himself flexing his muscles with: \u201cThis is a throwback to the time of my skin only having one #tattoo. I was in better condition back then too and would have probably been on the wrestling team had we had one in high school.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSporting off a British Bulldog on my right arm at the age of 16!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One fan comments, \u201cHardly recognised you lol!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another shocking before picture, he writes the caption, \u201cWHO [duck]-ing HECK IS THIS?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
