A guy walked into our store one day to buy a pair of shoes because his were completely falling apart. After picking out a pair, he went to pay, but unfortunately, his card didn\u2019t work. He left, and we thought that was the end of it. We were a little confused and asked, \u201cIs there a problem, officer?\u201d The cop smiled and said, \u201cNo, there\u2019s no problem. If you still have the shoes, I\u2019d like to go ahead and buy them.\u201d My coworker and the officer split the cost of the shoes, not for show, but out of genuine kindness. It may be small acts like this that slowly rebuild trust and faith in our communities.
