I’ve known this guy since last year, but we started talking more seriously around April. By July, things had progressed, and we decided to meet in September. Our conversations are constant, often lasting hours, mostly through video calls. We fell in love and began dating without having met in person yet. He seems perfect for me\u2014tall, handsome, intelligent, and hardworking. But during a recent conversation, he revealed something that left me feeling hurt. He admitted that I\u2019m not his usual type; he typically prefers tall, fair girls, while I\u2019m of average height and brown-skinned. He told me that despite this, he finds me very beautiful and appreciates my character, which he\u2019s never encountered before. I was deeply hurt by his comment and told him maybe he should find someone who fits his ideal. He insisted that I\u2019m everything he wants and that he loves me very much. Despite his reassurances, I\u2019m struggling with the sting of his words. I\u2019ve never been insecure about my appearance before and don\u2019t want to start now. I\u2019m concerned about being with someone who might only be with me because of my personality while still longing for someone else\u2019s physical attributes. Even though he\u2019s assured me that I\u2019m the best girl he\u2019s ever met, I\u2019m unsure about continuing. What do you think? Should I stay and try to move past this, or is it better to walk away? I\u2019d appreciate your thoughts and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
