One particular evening, as I stood in a clearing with short grass, I was keeping an eye on my large, white longhaired cat. Suddenly, in a split second, he vanished from right in front of me. The clearing was open and unobstructed, and his disappearance was bewildering. It was as if he had reappeared out of thin air, and his behavior seemed completely out of character.
