The man\u2019s relapse into drinking led to financial hardship, the loss of basic utilities, and increasing dysfunction within the household. One night, the conflict between the man and his wife erupted into a violent confrontation in the kitchen. The scene was chaotic; the man struck his wife multiple times, kicked their small dog, and even shattered a glass door.
