She mentioned that the house, which she had purchased a year earlier, was a historical landmark known as the \u201cMace Cottage.\u201d To my shock, I realized that this was my ancestral home, built by my great-great-great-grandfather. The house had been moved from its original site and was believed to have been lost or demolished over 50 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My grandparents were still alive at the time, and they were overjoyed to visit and reconnect with the place where their ancestors had lived.
