Joshua James McCoy was reported missing on November 9 after his mother, identified as Angela German, woke from a nearly five-hour rest to find her son gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joshua, who was non-verbal and responded to &#8220;Josh&#8221; or &#8220;Joshie,&#8221; had wandered off sometime during the afternoon. Authorities quickly launched a search, but initial efforts yielded no immediate clues. Despite the use of drones, K9s, and a coordinated search involving multiple counties, Joshua\u2019s body was discovered three days later, just under two miles from his home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His father, Lawson Amos McCoy, shared a heartbreaking tribute on social media, expressing his grief over the loss. &#8220;My precious baby! Bless you my love. I\u2019ll miss you the rest of my life,&#8221; he wrote.
