Twin pregnancies are already uncommon, and with Down syndrome, their case is even rarer. Despite facing judgment from some people, Savannah views her daughters as &#8220;little gems&#8221; and embraces their uniqueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advised to terminate her pregnancy due to health concerns, Savannah and her husband, Justin Ackerman, chose to keep the babies and give them a chance. The twins were born prematurely at 29 weeks on May 12, 2021, spending some time in the NICU before going home.
