His symptoms began in May 2019, leading to difficulties with speaking, walking, and daily tasks. After a long surgery to remove a mass, he was diagnosed with the cancer, and doctors later gave his family a difficult choice: continue care in the hospital or take him home for comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite his worsening condition, John\u2019s family is requesting support in the form of challenge coins, pins, and patches from military and law enforcement groups, alongside prayers for John. John has a deep admiration for first responders and military personnel, sparked by visits from local police and a special ceremony where he was made an honorary captain of the Washington County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.
