Despite treatment, the swelling around his tooth worsened, prompting a visit to the hospital, where doctors made a devastating discovery: the boy had tumors on his brain and spine. It was later diagnosed as a rare cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, which affects only about 55 children in the UK annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, by the time the cancer was diagnosed, it had spread to Ethan\u2019s lungs and bone marrow. His parents, Mark and Tracey, were heartbroken. They began an aggressive treatment plan, but despite their best efforts, Ethan passed away at the age of 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In their grief, Ethan\u2019s parents criticized the outdated treatment methods and started a fundraiser in his name, raising awareness for childhood cancer research.
