But the next morning, I noticed torn trash bags. Inside were receipts from a restaurant I\u2019d never been to, a hotel key card, unfamiliar lingerie, lipstick-stained napkins, and empty wine bottles. My stomach dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first, I doubted myself, but the truth became clear. George wasn\u2019t helping out to be thoughtful; he was covering his tracks. While I worked night shifts at the hospital, he entertained other women in our home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u2019t confront him immediately. Instead, I invited his friends, colleagues, and family to a surprise celebration. They found George wrapped up with another woman in our living room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shock, whispers, and his mother\u2019s gasp said it all. Exposed and humiliated, George stood speechless. I packed my bags and left.
