Even though they were happy, they were worried about a scar on Vienna\u2019s forehead. Vienna\u2019s birthmark, called congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), was a rare disease that didn\u2019t hurt her health, but her parents were worried about how it might affect her as she grew up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casey, Vienna\u2019s mother, was very worried about the scar. She knew that Vienna would make people look at her, and she didn\u2019t want her daughter to feel bad about how she looked. Casey was worried, so she asked doctors if they could get rid of the scar. The NHS said no, because the surgery was only for looks and wasn\u2019t necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"571\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-385.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36805\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-385.png 768w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-385-300x223.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Casey didn\u2019t give up and started an effort to raise money for the surgery. Very generous people gave over $52,000 in just 24 hours, which was a huge reaction. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital costs went up, and the family still needed an extra $27,000 for the surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vienna\u2019s birthmark has been totally removed by surgery, leaving only a small scar on her forehead.
