Students looked at the teacher with a mix of puzzled and interested looks on their faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Maria, one of the students, stood up and asked, \u201cHow can you ask such a question? \u201c, her face red with anger. \u201cI\u2019ll tell my parents, and they\u2019ll fire you!\u201d When Maria yelled, the teacher was shocked, but she decided to ignore her and ask the question again<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomas, one of the students, got it right this time: \u201cThe answer is the iris in the natural eye.\u201d Thomas got the right answer, so the teacher praised him. Then she turned her attention to Maria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you three things,\u201d the teacher said in a calm voice. First, it\u2019s clear that you haven\u2019t done your work. Second, your mind is dirty. Third, I worry that you will be very unhappy one day.
