Despite her success, Underwood has faced significant challenges.In 2017, she suffered a severe fall at her Nashville home, injuring her face and wrist, requiring 40-50 stitches. Her accident influenced the songs on her album Cry Pretty. That same year, she experienced three miscarriages, leading to emotional struggles. Underwood openly questioned her faith but found solace when she successfully welcomed her second son, Jacob, in 2019.Underwood finds comfort in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma, often returning to rest her spirit. However, her personal losses include her dog Ace, who passed away in 2022, prompting an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists.
