Dating can often feel like a challenging endeavor for many, but this woman experienced a major eye-opener when she stepped into her male friend\u2019s shoes and discovered just how different his reality was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although not everyone is a fan of dating apps, a TikTok<\/a> user known as ok.jo.anna shared her dismal experience with them after taking control of her friend Pete\u2019s Hinge account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experiment not only changed her perspective but also left her feeling profoundly discouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, she had claimed to Pete that dating apps made meeting people simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pete, however, strongly disagreed, insisting that it was far from easy for him. This prompted her to take matters into her own hands to prove her point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Pete\u2019s permission, the TikToker created and ran a Hinge account in his name. But after just three days of posing as Pete, she admitted that the experience had drastically shifted her views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She explained in a TikTok video: \u201cOne of my guy friends gave me permission to make a Hinge account for him because I was telling him how easy dating is with dating apps. He was telling me that it is incredibly difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Pete, you must be doing something wrong.\u2019 So, he gave me permission to create an account for him and just run the account.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results were not what she expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter three days of being a virtual boy, I\u2019ve never felt this bad about myself,\u201d she confessed. \u201cI feel like a freaking loser, trying to get these girls to like me, and I\u2019m starting to hate women.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She elaborated further on the challenges, saying: \u201cPete is about a six, but I\u2019m so desperate I\u2019m liking the 2s and the 3s, and even they<\/em> won\u2019t like me [Pete] back. So, what level of delusion has entered women\u2019s heads?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is going on? It is so difficult dating as a boy, I hate it. I am on day 3 of being a boy, and I\u2019m more depressed than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her candid revelations sparked a wave of responses online, with many men commiserating and thanking her for gaining insight into their struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One commenter wrote: \u201cIf you\u2019re losing it after 3 days, imagine 30 years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another joked: \u201cWell, we\u2019ve finally got one person to empathize with us boys. This small gesture of compassion might just see me through another couple of years <\/p>\n\n\n\n
