I think it\u2019s rude to recline your seat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another added: \u201cI think it\u2019s common sense not to open and lean your screen against the seat exactly for this reason.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, others took to the comments sharing their disagreement with the podcast host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s called a laptop for a reason,\u201d one X user pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.ezodn.com\/ads\/charity\/proxy?p_id=b40c65b7-5945-4966-79b1-2ac6b506fe20&amp;d_id=416127&amp;imp_id=1205727102406404&amp;c_id=1134&amp;l_id=10016&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fjoinourvillage.org%2Fdonate%2F&amp;ffid=1&amp;co=NG\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A second said: \u201cYeah, that\u2019s definitely not Delta\u2019s fault.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the incident, Cassidy took to the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barstoolsports.com\/blog\/1960945\/the-selfish-jerk-in-13a-fully-reclined-his-seat-destroying-my-laptop?irclickid=1lp0kvViDxyKUAfSt8ROv3kLUksxUAVNnTs6T00&amp;irgwc=1&amp;utm_source=impact&amp;utm_medium=affiliate&amp;utm_campaign=network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bar Stool Sports<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;podcast and called the passenger who reclined their seat a \u2018selfish b**tard.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: \u201cYou should never fully recline! Credit: @hardfactorpat\/X<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A Delta customer service agent responded to Cassidy on X after his post went&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/igvofficial.com\/category\/viral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">viral<\/a>, asking: \u201cGoodness! Did you speak to a gate agent or Red Coat about the damage when you got off the plane?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They suggested he fill in a complaint form \u2018to have someone evaluate the damage and reach out to you.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a further update to the story, Cassidy claimed: \u201cDelta is giving me the equivalent of a $75 gift card and an explanation that you would give a six-year-old. Cool.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He attached an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HardFactorPat\/status\/1233544991902982144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">email screenshot<\/a>, apparently from Delta\u2019s customer service team, reading: \u201cI\u2019m sorry your laptop was broken due to another passenger reclining on your seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.ezodn.com\/ads\/charity\/proxy?p_id=b40c65b7-5945-4966-79b1-2ac6b506fe20&amp;d_id=416127&amp;imp_id=749551066363684&amp;c_id=1084&amp;l_id=10016&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazonconservation.org%2Ftake-action%2Fdonate%2F&amp;ffid=1&amp;co=NG\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not fair when one person\u2019s behavior affects another person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPlease know that personal property damaged inflight as a result of a passenger action is not reimbursable.
