In her memoir, Melania, which was released in October of last year, the soon-to-be First Lady wrote a memoir in which she discussed her connection with the Republican president-elect, who will formally take office at his inauguration ceremony on Monday, January 20.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melania recalls meeting Trump in a nightclub in New York City, who will be the first person with a felony conviction to become president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melania, a Slovenian model, had just immigrated to the US to further her career, and Trump was recently divorced from his second wife, Marla Maples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being on a date with another lady, Trump asked his future wife for her number when he and his\u00a0\u201cattractive blonde\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0partner arrived to see Melania at a table in the VIP area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two eventually went on their first date at his Seven Springs home in Bedford, New York, after Melania called him a few days after they first met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melania, 54, described the two qualities of the 78-year-old that she was most \u201ccaptivated\u201d<\/strong> by throughout the exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom the moment our conversation began, I was captivated by his charm and easygoing nature,\u201d<\/strong> she wrote in the memoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melania previously opened up about the meeting in a 2016 interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar, recalling: \u201cHe wanted my number, but he was with a date, so of course I didn\u2019t give it to him.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clearly unimpressed with the move, she then reportedly told him, \u201cI am not giving you my number; you give me yours, and I will call you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted to see if it was a business number. What if it\u2019s business?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melania was immediately impressed by Trump\u2019s purported \u201cvitality\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cenergy\u201d<\/strong> after he responded by giving her all of his numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump proposed at the 2004 Met Gala after the couple had been dating for a number of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After getting married at Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago resort the following year, they welcomed Barron, their first son, into the world in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Trump took office again, Melania made a daring comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She stated to FOX News:\u00a0\u201cMaybe some people see me as just a wife of the President, but I\u2019m standing on my own two feet, independent, I have my own thoughts, I have my own \u2018yes\u2019 and \u2018no.’\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
