Just ask anyone who saw Jackson Dean Nicholson, a senior defensive end at Arundel High School in\u200c Maryland, perform a few years back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re not\u200d discussing his game<\/a> play, but rather his pre-game\u2064 performance of the national anthem. It amazed the\u2064 home \u200dfans\u200c and has also\u2064 impressed thousands \u200donline over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, Nicholson faced \u2062a choice when he found out no one else was ready\u2062 to sing before his\u2064 school\u2019s game. He could \u200chave let\u2063 them play a recording \u2063or let the crowd sing along themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\u2063 Nicholson is different. Before the match began, he stood alone \u2063on the\u200b field with just an acoustic guitar and\u2062 microphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He delivered one \u200bof the best\u2063 renditions of the U.S. national anthem we\u2019ve ever heard! It\u2019s no wonder<\/a> that this video became viral \u2062and \u2063keeps coming back into popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video was first shared in 2018, and its continued relevance shows how talented Nicholson is as a singer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was really\u2063 cool. I probably\u2063 knew 90 percent of those people in those stands, and they had no clue I was going to do \u2062it until I brought my\u200d guitar out,\u201d Nicholson told the Baltimore Sun back then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since there\u2019s already an actor named Jack Nicholson,\u200c he \u2064smartly chose Jackson Dean as \u2062his stage name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about \u2062football back in 2018, Jackson said: \u201cThis is \u2064my last year; then \u2062I\u2019m done. I\u2019ve got until January to finish all my credits;\u2062 I only need to be enrolled for this semester. My principal gave me a waiver and she\u200b supports \u200cwhat I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
