I\u2019m well aware that some people are wired to enjoy math, just as certain others (myself included) are wired to loath it. I <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, got your thinking cap on? Ready for this week\u2019s exercise in mathematical gymnastics? I certainly hope so\u2026 because here it comes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If 1+4=5, 2+5=12, and , then what is the value of 5+8?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps it\u2019s easier if you see it written out as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1+4=5<\/strong><br><strong>2+5=12<\/strong><br><strong>3+6=21<\/strong><br><strong>5+8=?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It appears that this particular problem has left a large portion of the internet scratching their heads, and a lot of people split on what the correct answer actually is. Much of it depends on how you approach the exercise of course; what exact method you employ to try and help you find the right answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the crux of it all? There\u2019s more than one correct answer! In fact, there are quite a few if our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.quora.com\/If-1+4-5-2+5-12-and-3+6-21-then-what-is-the-value-of-5+8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research<\/a>&nbsp;is anything to go by.
