For almost three weeks, the acerbic commentator has been MIA from his regular seat on the afternoon talk show \u201cThe Five\u201d and his late-night hosting duties on \u201cGutfeld!,\u201d the Gateway Pundit reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, fans got their answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is going to be a great surprise for a lot of you,\u201d co-host of \u201cThe Five\u201d Dana Perino said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou might have noticed that our friend Greg Gutfeld hasn\u2019t been here for a couple of weeks, and it\u2019s for, with a good reason.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perino then read a statement from Gutfeld announcing the birth of his baby daughter, Mira \u2014 with typical Gutfeld panache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is with great joy that my wife, Elana, and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world,\u201d Perino read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMira is healthy with a real set of lungs. She has Elana\u2019s beautiful eyes and my rock-hard abs. We are hard at work teaching her three languages and putting her through rigorous workout routines. She is already very observant and has asked if Jesse wears a toupee. I told her that he definitely wears a wig.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He closed with a reference to his French bulldog, Gus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs you can understand, we value our privacy, and we thank everyone for the good wishes. And now I have to go stop Gus from licking her face.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the announcement on \u201cThe Five,\u201d and his colleagues\u2019 congratulations, Gutfeld himself weighed in on the social media platform X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[S]ee, thats how you keep a secret,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[T]hanks to all the nice words! see ya in a few!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gutfeld, 60, has been married to his wife, Elena Moussa, 42, since 2004, The New York Times reported in January 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While few Americans are more open about their politics than Gutfeld \u2014 he\u2019s made smart, funny, and bitting conservative commentary a personal brand \u2014 he\u2019s maintained some privacy over his personal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the news of his new baby came as a surprise to the public \u2014 and generated plenty of congratulations from fans who\u2019d noticed his absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news of the young addition to his life is capping a strong year for Gutfeld, who\u2019s solidified his ratings position in the late-night field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also arguably helped the results of the November election by hosting a visit from then-candidate Donald Trump in September that was\u00a0Gutfeld\u2019s biggest episode\u00a0since the show started in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
