The Kardashians<\/em> star has confirmed she\u2019s \u2018autosexual\u2019 \u2013 and fans have been left baffled by the reality TV<\/a> star\u2019s explanation\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kardashian has taken to her lifestyle website, Poosh, to make the announcement that she\u2019s an autosexual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She writes: \u201cAre you autosexual? The short answer is yes, most likely. In fact, we all are, at least a little.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People have been left confused and annoyed by her divisive admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One has taken to Facebook to write: \u201cWhat the heck is that???\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a new term to me\u2026 sounds pretty conceited,\u201d a second shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 44-year-old elaborates on her new sexuality in her blog post, writing: \u201cCasey Tanner, therapist, writer, and founder of QueerSexTherapy, helped us define auto sexuality as \u2018a trait wherein one is turned on by engaging in their own eroticism\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article continues: \u201cA prime example of this is simply women in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile it may not be true for everyone, we generally feel more sexual and turned on when we feel we ourselves are sexy. But it\u2019s not just about the ladies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile m*****bation is the most obvious example, auto sexuality may extend beyond sexual behavior to include feeling a longing or desire for oneself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kourtney adds: \u201cIt could mean washing yourself lovingly in the bath and genuinely enjoying your body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt could mean dancing in the mirror in a cute outfit. If feeling sexy independent of someone else has ever turned you on, that\u2019s autosexuality, and it\u2019s totally normal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IGV has exclusively spoken to dating expert Alex Bert, a relationship coach with over 14 years of experience, about the phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He tells us: \u201cAs a relationship coach, I\u2019ve noticed an emerging sexual identity that is becoming more commonly recognized \u2013 autosexuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAutosexuality involves a primary sexual attraction to oneself rather than to others.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bert stresses that you don\u2019t have to identify with all the signs to be considered autosexual, concluding: \u201cOf course, sexuality exists on a spectrum, and autosexuality isn\u2019t an all-or-nothing proposition. You can identify as autosexual while still enjoying partnered s**.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut if these signs resonate strongly with you, you may find freedom and empowerment in embracing autosexuality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It adds that \u2018experiencing romantic feelings towards oneself is called autoromantic\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, some fans have admitted that this coming out is not exactly a surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
