But she suddenly developed flu-like symptoms, spiking a 41.5\u00b0C (107\u00b0F) fever. Hours later, she collapsed, just minutes from death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"479\" height=\"588\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image-221.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44093\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image-221.png 479w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image-221-244x300.png 244w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 479px) 100vw, 479px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rushed to the hospital, she suffered two heart attacks, kidney failure, and tissue damage. Doctors diagnosed her with toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare but life-threatening condition. Despite their efforts, her right leg was amputated.
