With every joyful and happy moment, there is also sadness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many sad stories that we can find online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s sad to think that many of them have happened in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of them are truly heartbreaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you like it or not, there\u2019s a big chance that you would get affected by them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even when the ones that are involved in the story are not humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even those circumstances that involved animals are equally painful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of this horse is one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has an awful past that made it belligerent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His former owners used violence as a technique to \u201cbreak horses\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It \u201cinvolved beatings and tying his head tightly between two posts where they left him standing without food or water for 4 weeks\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The horrible treatment that the horse received was the reason why he became aggressive and did not trust anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But everything changed when he met an amazing man Max, who was also the one who changed his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That man bought him even though he was aggressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also didn\u2019t hesitate to bring that horse home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Janna Grapperhaus, her dad was the one who bought the horse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also revealed that her mom was totally against the idea of keeping Major as it could be dangerous for her husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll never forget the day my mom called me in a panic \u2018Janna, you\u2019ve got to convince your daddy to get rid of that horse, its gonna kill him\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s also the reason why the horse was named Major as her mom considered her as a \u201cMajor Deal\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Major was not in a good state, Max did not give up on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He dealt with his hostile behavior even it was unsafe for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was even a disaster when he brought him home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen dad brought him home, he barreled through five strands of fence within minutes of arriving and he\u2019d bite and strike at anyone within distance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this happened to other people, there\u2019s a big chance that they would give up on Major but Max didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max did his best just to gain his trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was nice that Max was victorious with his mission and which was to make Major feel loved.
His hard work helped Major a lot and even made him a sweet horse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 2 years, Major completely trusted him and let him ride on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy dad never broke him\u2026. he earned his heart. Every single day, for hours and hours dad worked to earn that abused horse\u2019s trust.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The horse that was aggressive and violent also learned to kiss his human friend on the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he loved doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Max regularly spent time with Major, it really improved the horse a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s probably because horses are \u201chighly social animals\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, Max is no longer physically present in Major\u2019s life as he passed away in October 2020.
The person who never gave up on him is gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s too painful to imagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max\u2019s family made sure that Major would be able to give him his last kiss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also the last chance for him to say goodbye to his best friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt seemed only fitting to let Major say goodbye. This is Major\u2019s last kiss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Janna shared the heartwarming photo on Facebook which touched many hearts. As of this writing, the post has been shared 176,000 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s just proof that this story is tragic yet inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some people and animals that come along that leave a lasting impression on you until the end of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major and his late owner Max are an example of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
