Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Doctor Who star Maya Woolfe has died aged 72.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actress appeared in some of the biggest shows across the BBC and ITV during her impressive 20-year career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official social media channels for Auf Wiedersehen, Pet announced the news \u2018with sadness\u2019 in a statement on Friday, in which they listed some of Maya\u2019s acting achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement read: \u2018With sadness we announce the passing of Maya Woolfe who played Uli in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet Series 1, Episode 11, \u2018The Lovers\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Maya\u2019s many TV appearances included \u2018The Professionals\u2019, \u2018Bergerac\u2019, and \u2018Doctor Who\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018We send our deepest sympathy to family and friends at this difficult time.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya is best known for playing Uli in series one, episode 11 of ITV comedy-drama Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She appeared in an episode called The Lovers back in January 1984, in which she played the love interest of Jimmy Nail\u2019s character Oz Osborne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair headed on a date after Gary Holten\u2019s character Wayne Norris mistakenly identified Oz as a wealthy tycoon\u2019s son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya\u2019s role proved to be a pivotal in the episode as it lead to one of the most memorable lines in the show as Uli chatted away to Oz at swanky bar, the Tivoli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While discussing his apparent inheritance, Uli asks: \u2018In the meantime you are just one of the boys?\u2019, to which Oz replies: \u2018Look again, pet. One of the men!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
