Unlike many people think, the truth is that it\u2019s not easy to be a police officer. Not easy at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a police officer is a stressful job, as the work involves dealing with hostile people and difficult situations, and the threat of injury is a constant one.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve witnessed people do gods work. And we should never judge a book by its cover. Some people with muscles have a heart of gold, while others can be skinny sociopaths in suit and ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happened to Sergeant Randy Harkness is unfair\u2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sergeant Randy Harkness from Dawson County, Georgia, saw a homeless man begging for money at the corner of a street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He felt compassion for the man, and decided to give him a ride to the nearest gas station and hand him some money for food. But once the homeless man entered the vehicle, he started attacking Harkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the attack, he injured his face and wasn\u2019t about to stop till something worse happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of a sudden a bystander noticed that attack and decided to act swiftly. She was legally carrying a firearm and rushed toward the sergeant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She fired one shot and the homeless man started running, but with the second shot she hit the suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Randy Harkness was so glad that there was someone at the scene to help him and risk their life to save him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dawson County Sheriff called the woman a hero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI TRULY BELIEVE THAT SHE\u2019S A HERO,\u201d SHERIFF JEFF JOHNSON TOLD FOX 5 ATLANTA. \u201cI BELIEVE THAT SHE POTENTIALLY SAVED THIS OFFICER\u2019S LIFE. WE DON\u2019T KNOW HOW FAR THE SUSPECT WOULD HAVE WENT WITH THE ASSAULT.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman acted and helped a police officer that was hurt, and was possibly going to end up worse. She is unlikely going to be charged with using firearm, but the incident was still under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
