Growing up during a technology boom, it\u2019s been incredible to see how common household objects used for many years became obsolete in the blink of an eye.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>I will admit, when I first saw a photo of the below object, I had no idea what it was. I knew it was a metal tool of some sort, but beyond that, I was stumped. Do you remember and recognize this object?<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/y-300x171-1-1.webp\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:839px;height:auto\"><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Look familiar? It\u2019s an old oil can opener spout! Although this object may look prehistoric, it actually only dates back to the 1980s. Back then, people would use the tool to puncture a hole in the top of the can, and the spout part was used for pouring oil. Though fairly simple in design, this object is actually pretty genius.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/yy-225x300-1-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54238\" style=\"width:847px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m Positive You Will Not Know What This Is.
