Karen Rodas and Paul Bybkin\u2019s son, Nathaniel, lived only 36 hours due to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Their daughter, Maddy, was born with the same condition but survived after receiving a life-saving kidney transplant from her father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/bloated-baby-composite-1024x683.webp?ezimgfmt=rs:613x409\/rscb2\/ng:webp\/ngcb2\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-62677\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDaddy\u2019s kidney has saved our little girl,\u201d Karen added. \u201cNow, she has boundless energy. Her massive tummy now just looks a little bit rounded and she is a happy and healthy two-year-old.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul, on the other hand, believes he only did what every father would do for their kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have been on a rollercoaster \u2013 but any father would have done what I did, donating my kidney to Maddy. It\u2019s part of being a parent,\u201d he said, according to The Mirror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNow we are on a high and can watch Maddy grow up as a happy and healthy little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She would probably need to undergo another transplant surgery in 25 years time, but until that moment comes, she\u2019s got many years to enjoy and live her life to the fullest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are so happy for this lovely family and wish them all the happiness life can bring.
