Michelle Obama Makes Head-Turning New Year\u2019s Statement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former first lady Michelle Obama posted a message to her social media accounts lamenting about how the last couple of months of the year have been \u201cdifficult,\u201d which appeared to be a reference to the outcome of the November election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know it\u2019s been a difficult few months for so many of us \u2014 and folks are feeling a little bit anxious and uncertain. But this holiday season, there are plenty of reasons to stay hopeful,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo as 2024 comes to a close, I wanted to share some reflections on the work the @ObamaFoundation is doing to lift up the young changemakers around the world. Take a look,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, viewers of former President Barack Obama\u2019s speech at the Obama Foundation\u2019s 2024 Democracy Forum last month caught him during a \u201ctelling\u201d moment as he made a series of claims about Republicans that are more aligned with his own Democratic Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some observers even claimed that things the 44th president said would be considered wild conspiracy theories and \u2018false claims\u2019 of \u2018election fraud\u2019 were they uttered by a GOP figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others ripped the former president for what they saw as blatant hypocrisy as he accused members of the Republican Party of doing things that Democrats have done when they are in power, such as \u201cweaponizing\u201d the Justice Department and \u201cpoliticizing\u201d the military.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPluralism depends on everyone following a certain set of rules,\u201d Obama said during the speech. \u201cWhat happens when the other side has repeatedly and abundantly made clear they are not interested in playing by the rules?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere are going to be times potentially when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in [pause] a permanent grip on power,\u201d Obama said at one point, as he appeared to realize in mid-sentence that he was treading closely to exposing himself and his party\u2019s future political plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEither by actively suppressing votes, or politicizing the Armed Forces, or using the judiciary, criminal justice system to go after opponents,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd pluralism does not call for us to just stand back and say, \u2018well, I\u2019m not sure that\u2019s OK,\u2019\u201d he continued. \u201cIn those circumstances, a line has been crossed, and we have to stand firm and speak out and organize.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several people took to social media to call out Obama\u2019s rhetoric, much of which sounded to them a lot like what the outgoing Biden-Harris administration did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former \u201cHercules\u201d actor Kevin Sorbo said that Obama \u201c[a]lmost broke character for a sec.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conservative media figure Collin Rugg responded to Sorbo by noting that the \u201cpause was telling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obama reportedly had a big hand \u2014 along with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi \u2014 in forcing President Joe Biden to abandon his reelection bid following his horrific June debate with now-President-elect Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actor George Clooney, a close friend of the 44th president, is reportedly angry at the 44th president and feeling used after he wrote an op-ed over the summer encouraging Biden to step down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeorge is furious with Obama for disappearing after the election disaster and leaving him holding the bag for pushing the plan with his Hollywood pals,\u201d an unnamed entertainment industry source close to the A-list actor told RadarOnline in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeorge feels duped and vows he\u2019s not going to be anyone\u2019s political water boy anymore,\u201d another source told the outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obama reportedly \u201capproved\u201d the article to put pressure on his former running mate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, Vice President Kamala Harris is not planning to \u201cgo quietly into the night\u201d after she was thumped in the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a segment on CNN, reporter Isaac Dovere revealed that Harris privately tells backers she is considering running for governor of California in 2026 or president in 2028. Harris also reportedly does not want her \u201cfinal act\u201d to be certifying Donald Trump\u2019s election victory over her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
