After living on a single food item, a four-year-old child was discovered trapped alive in her own New York house.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, May 2, the girl\u2019s mother, Lisa Cotton, 38, was discovered dead at their house when her oldest daughter, who was worried, went to the Bronx flat to see how her family was doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman\u2019s landlord had called Lisa\u2019s father, 71-year-old Hubert Cotton, to enquire as to whether Lisa had left the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI had been trying to call her for days and she never answered. I figured she didn\u2019t answer me because she didn\u2019t want me to talk to me,\u201d<\/strong> he told The New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrible discovery was made by Lisa\u2019s oldest daughter, as paramedics pronounced eight-year-old Nazir Millien and his mother Lisa dead at the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen she came in, [Nazir] was slumped over,\u201d<\/strong> Cotton told the New York Post. Lisa\u2019s daughter then apparently went looking for her mother only to find four-year-old Promise \u2018feeding herself with chocolate\u2019 on her mother\u2019s bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe picked her up and ran out and called the police,\u201d<\/strong> Cotton continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New York Post obtained a transcript of the 911 call in which Lisa\u2019s daughter said that Nazir\u2019s body had \u201cbugs crawling on it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promise was sent to a nearby hospital in a stable state, however she was later released and is currently living with her grandfather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes sense that the recent occurrences have disturbed the young girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of his granddaughter, Cotton said, \u201cShe hasn\u2019t said anything. She\u2019s a baby. She looks at me sometimes, you know? Like she knows something.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know anything, we\u2019re trying to find out.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although neighbours reported to authorities that they hadn\u2019t seen Lisa in more than two weeks, a police source told The New York Post that there was no reason to be alarmed because there didn\u2019t seem to be any odours or evidence of a break-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[The police] said they\u2019d be back in a few days. One of the social workers said she was trying to get a court order to have the door broken in,\u201d<\/strong> a neighbor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eric Perez, who lives upstairs, added:\u00a0\u201cThe landlord hadn\u2019t done wellness checks, people had called, neighbors called. It just smells like rat infested\u2026 the exterminator said the same thing \u2014 the smell is similar to rats and even death.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
