I figured she didn\u2019t answer me because she didn\u2019t want me to talk to me,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;he told&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/04\/19\/us-news\/nyc-mom-son-found-dead-inside-squalid-bronx-apartment-cops\/\">The New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The terrible discovery was made by Lisa\u2019s oldest daughter, as paramedics pronounced eight-year-old Nazir Millien and his mother Lisa dead at the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWhen she came in, [Nazir] was slumped over,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Cotton told the New York Post. Lisa\u2019s daughter then apparently went looking for her mother only to find four-year-old Promise \u2018feeding herself with chocolate\u2019 on her mother\u2019s bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypositiveinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-246-1024x682.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37927\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Source:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.freepik.com\/free-ai-image\/relationship-affectionate-mother-her-child_94958252.htm#fromView=search&amp;page=1&amp;position=1&amp;uuid=bee04c0f-247d-4e26-8a3b-ff542454a896&amp;query=girl+mother+back+view\">Freepik<\/a><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cShe picked her up and ran out and called the police,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Cotton continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York Post obtained a transcript of the 911 call in which Lisa\u2019s daughter said that Nazir\u2019s body had&nbsp;<strong>\u201cbugs crawling on it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Promise was sent to a nearby hospital in a stable state, however she was later released and is currently living with her grandfather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It makes sense that the recent occurrences have disturbed the young girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of his granddaughter, Cotton said,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cShe hasn\u2019t said anything. She\u2019s a baby. She looks at me sometimes, you know? Like she knows something.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe don\u2019t know anything, we\u2019re trying to find out.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although neighbours reported to authorities that they hadn\u2019t seen Lisa in more than two weeks, a police source told The New York Post that there was no reason to be alarmed because there didn\u2019t seem to be any odours or evidence of a break-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c[The police] said they\u2019d be back in a few days. One of the social workers said she was trying to get a court order to have the door broken in,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;a neighbor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Perez, who lives upstairs, added:\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe landlord hadn\u2019t done wellness checks, people had called, neighbors called. Two of them. How am I going to get the money? To bury both of them?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How Lisa, who had asthma, and her son passed away is still a mystery.
