{"id":58707,"date":"2025-05-13T13:41:05","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T13:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/?p=58707"},"modified":"2025-05-13T13:41:21","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T13:41:21","slug":"naomi-ju","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/?p=58707","title":{"rendered":"Naomi Ju."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-143.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58708\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-143.png 720w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-143-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-143-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In The Judd Family: Truth Be Told (airing Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11), the country star\u2019s widower confirmed that she once shot a gun at her husband, 79, after learning he\u2019d cheated on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a voiceover of her 1993 memoir Love Can Build a Bridge, Judd explained how the pair were \u201cwildly, madly, passionately in love,\u201d but her husband was never home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She then recalled a woman from the Northeast calling their home in Nashville in the 1980s, saying how much \u201cshe loved and missed\u201d Strickland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When he returned home, Judd recalled tearing up photos of the two of them and throwing his belongings into a garbage bag in their yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a tense moment in the docuseries, Strickland rewatched a scene from the Love Can Build a Bridge TV movie where Kathleen York, who plays Naomi, shoots Bruce Greenwood, who plays Strickland, when she finds out he\u2019s cheated on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterward, Strickland reflected on the moment and confirms the events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/naomi-judd-2-a430d649588541d7ba78c2003a3e1b71.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9757\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, it really happened,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s all I can say. That\u2019s all I\u2019m gonna say. It happened.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judd and Strickland met in 1979 and tied the knot a decade later in May 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pair were married for 33 years before the \u201cRiver of Time\u201d singer died at the age of 76 in April 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with PEOPLE in December 2022, Strickland reflected on the time he spent caring for his late wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the past 13 years or more, I was with her 24\/7,\u201d he said. \u201cI never left the house without Naomi knowing where I was going and when I would be back. As far as taking care of myself, I\u2019m not sure that fits my situation.
