Sherman\u2019s wife has revealed that the beloved singer and actor has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 1960s, Bobby Sherman<\/a> wasn\u2019t just a pop sensation \u2014 he was the<\/em> teen idol. With his dazzling smile, soulful eyes, and gold-certified hits like \u201cLittle Woman\u201d and \u201cEasy Come, Easy Go,\u201d Sherman captured the hearts of an entire generation. He wasn\u2019t just a voice on the radio \u2014 he was everywhere<\/em>, from television screens on shows like The Partridge Family<\/a><\/em> and Shindig!<\/em> to magazine covers and bedroom walls. Fans didn\u2019t just like him \u2014 they adored him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now, decades after his heyday, fans are heartbroken to learn that their once-swooning star is facing the toughest battle of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bobby\u2019s wife, Brigitte Poublon, first shared the devastating news in an emotional Facebook on March 25<\/a>: the 81-year-old singer and actor has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Though she didn\u2019t disclose the type at that time, her words were filled with both sorrow and gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dIt is with a heavy heart that we share Bobby has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer,\u201d she wrote. \u201dDuring this challenging time, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In April, Brigitte revealed her husband\u2019s specific diagnosis: kidney cancer, which she heartbreakingly shared has \u201dspread everywhere\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a interview with Fox News Digital, Brigitte didn\u2019t sugarcoat the grim reality. She revealed that the once-unstoppable pop icon is now terminally ill and \u201cat home with special care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe was doing crossword puzzles with me in the last few days,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then all of a sudden Saturday, he turned around and\u2026he\u2019s just sleeping more and his body\u2019s not working anymore. It\u2019s not. Everything\u2019s shutting down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sherman, 81, had officially retired last year, though he continued to engage with fans by signing autographs. But even that has now become nearly impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut now he can barely sign his name,\u201d Brigitte shared, adding that he wants \u201cto be left in peace\u201d and spend his remaining time surrounded by family and their five beloved dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in one especially gut-wrenching moment, she recounted his final wish from the hospital: \u201cHis last words from the hospital last night were, \u2018Brig, I just want to go home.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support from John Stamos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The outpouring of love from fans has been overwhelming, Brigitte said. \u201cA lot of them have been really great.\u201d That support has also extended to the couple\u2019s close friends \u2014 including Full House<\/em> star John Stamos<\/a>, who has remained by their side emotionally even from afar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stamos and Sherman first crossed paths when the actor became an ambassador for the Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children\u2019s Foundation, and their friendship blossomed from there. \u201cAnd we\u2019ve been best friends ever [since],\u201d Brigitte said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though Stamos wanted to visit, Brigitte gently discouraged him from seeing Bobby in his current state. \u201cI told him I don\u2019t recommend him come into the room where Bobby\u2019s at right now,\u201d she said. Instead, the actor sent a heartfelt video message to lift his friend\u2019s spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the music and fame, Bobby Sherman devoted his life to service \u2014 and not just through his work as a paramedic and reserve officer with the LAPD. Together with Brigitte, he co-founded the Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children\u2019s Foundation, a project rooted in compassion and aimed at helping children in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was always our dream to do something for a Third World country,\u201d Brigitte said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe opened up five and a half acres. We have a huge musical village with soup kitchens. We\u2019re serving over 375 meals a day; we\u2019re going to up that to 500. We have classrooms and computers and a music room and pavilions. We send them on field trips, we pay for the college tuition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Married her idol crush<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Though Bobby himself never made it to Africa, the impact of his heart and vision is undeniable. \u201cThat\u2019s been our labor of love,\u201d Brigitte said. \u201cBobby\u2019s never been able to make it, go to Africa. I was always worried about something being kind of sensitive back then.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their story together began long before the diagnosis, and for Brigitte, it was the fulfillment of a dream. \u201cI got to meet my teen idol crush!\u201d she said, laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She still remembers the moment she first saw him in People magazine, standing next to a friend. \u201cAnd I saw that [and thought], \u2018You know what? He sounds like a great person.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
