My husband and I have been together for five years, and while our relationship has had its ups and downs, there\u2019s one comment he made recently that really caught me off guard.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of nowhere, he told me, \u201cYou need to do something about the smell down there. It\u2019s getting really bad.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, I was shocked and embarrassed. I\u2019ve always been meticulous about my hygiene and have never had any issues before.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. I bathe daily, wear breathable fabrics, and follow all the recommendations for intimate health.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I even went to the doctor recently for a check-up, and everything came back normal. So, where was this coming from?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I confronted him, he doubled down and said, \u201cI\u2019m just being honest.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not a big deal, but you should look into it.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t believe he was trying to make me feel self-conscious about something I was sure wasn\u2019t true.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After speaking to a close friend about it, she suggested that he might be projecting \u2014 or even trying to put me down for reasons unrelated to me.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if this is a him problem, not a me problem.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it\u2019s still eating away at me, and I can\u2019t shake the feeling that there\u2019s something deeper behind his comments.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
