He had a massive tumor on his face and severely deformed legs, which doctors later amputated. His mother, overwhelmed by shock, initially refused to take him home. After a family meeting and support from his four siblings, Robert was welcomed home. He underwent numerous surgeries, including facial reconstruction and prosthetics for his legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a child, Robert read from his mother\u2019s diary\u2014raw, honest reflections that helped him understand her initial reaction. Over time, he forgave her, choosing to see their relationship as a film with a sad beginning but a beautiful ending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now a proud husband, father, author, and motivational speaker, Robert embraces the word &#8220;ugly&#8221; not as an insult but as a story of resilience, identity, and self-love.
