The Durham, UK native, who won gold at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games, shared her diagnosis of cancer and ulcerative colitis in January. \u201cThere\u2019s really no easy way to say this, but I have cancer,\u201d she wrote on Instagram. She accused the NHS of negligence, stating she suffered in &#8220;constant pain&#8221; for 17 weeks while repeatedly seeking medical help. Despite her existing risks due to colitis and PSC, she said doctors dismissed her concerns, refused tests, and even suggested her pain was imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her condition worsened, eventually revealing widespread cancer and dangerous blood clots. On her 25th birthday, she also revealed she had suffered a miscarriage and was facing a terminal diagnosis. Just two weeks before her death, she married her partner Adriano, calling it \u201cthe day I married the love of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tributes poured in from across the boxing world.
