His absence will be deeply felt by friends, colleagues, fellow artists, comedians, musicians, and, most endearingly, many dogs. His wife and daughter will feel the loss most profoundly. I loved him deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin Mull was best known as Coach Willard Kraft on <em>Sabrina the Teenage Witch<\/em>, Leon Carp on <em>Roseanne<\/em>, and Gene Parmesan in <em>Arrested Development<\/em>. In 2016, he earned an Emmy nomination for <em>Veep<\/em> as Bob Bradley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mull co-wrote the 1985 mockumentary <em>The History of White People in America<\/em> with Fred Willard and penned parody songs like <em>A Girl Named Johnny Cash<\/em>, charted by Jane Morgan. He opened for legends such as Frank Zappa, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melissa Joan Hart fondly remembered Mull, praising his work ethic, sense of humor, and artwork that now hangs in her home. He was a painter at heart, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, who financed his art through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born August 18, 1943, in Chicago, Mull is survived by his wife, Wendy Haas, and his daughter, a television writer and producer.
