I don\u2019t mean hitting her hard, I just mean a spanking.\u201d<br>The Kelly Clarkson Show host went on: \u201cMy parents spanked me, and I did fine in life, and I feel fine about it, and I do that as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a tricky thing, when you\u2019re out in public, because then people are like, they think that\u2019s wrong or something, but I find nothing wrong with a spanking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarkson did, however, say she doesn\u2019t just smack her kids on the spot. Rather she warns them first.<br>She said: \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Hi, I\u2019m going to spank you on your bottom if you don\u2019t stop right now, this is ridiculous\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHonestly it\u2019s really helped. She doesn\u2019t do that kind of stuff as often.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not known if Clarkson\u2019s views on smacking have changed in recent years.<br>Clarkson shares two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, daughter River Rose, eight, and son Remington Alexander, six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She often speaks candidly about parentings, and has told of the \u201cmum guilt\u201d she experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She told Redbook in 2016: \u201cI have a lot of mum guilt. If you\u2019re a mum, you want to be with your kid every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t want to miss a moment, you want her to need you and want you and not want somebody else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarkson added: \u201cI\u2019m not gonna BS you, that\u2019s hard.
