{"id":62511,"date":"2025-06-03T11:04:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T11:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/?p=62511"},"modified":"2025-06-03T11:04:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T11:04:34","slug":"dolly-parton-reveals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/?p=62511","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Parton Reveals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"526\" height=\"526\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-103.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-62512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-103.png 526w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-103-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/image-103-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 526px) 100vw, 526px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Beyonc\u00e9 reimagines Dolly Parton\u2019s iconic song \u201cJolene\u201d on her 2024\u00a0<em>Cowboy Carter\u00a0<\/em>album, transforming it from a plea into a powerful warning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dolly Parton praises Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s\u00a0<em>Cowboy Carter<\/em>, calling the album \u201creally, really good\u201d and expressing pride in the bold reinterpretation of her 1973 hit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parton appears twice on\u00a0<em>Cowboy Carter<\/em>, including as a fictional radio DJ on the track \u201cDolly P\u201d and in a cameo at the start of Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s song \u201cTyrant\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/beyonce-dolly-final.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13700\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t come for her man!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dolly Parton\u2019s 1973 hit, \u201cJolene,\u201d has had Parton fans singing along for decades, but in 2024, Beyonc\u00e9 put a modern spin on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyonc\u00e9, 43, covered the song on her 2024 album Cowboy Carter, changing the tone and key lyrics of the song to serve as more of a warning instead of Parton\u2019s plea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, where Parton sings, \u201cI\u2019m beggin\u2019 of you, please don\u2019t take my man,\u201d Beyonce declares, \u201cI\u2019m warning you, don\u2019t come for my man.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with PEOPLE tied to the release of her single-serve frozen meals with Conagra brands, Parton gushed about Beyonc\u00e9 and her musical talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a huge fan of hers \u2014 I mean, who\u2019s not? Everybody loves her,\u201d Parton said. \u201cI think she\u2019s a magnificent artist, beautiful and the dancing in addition to the singing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/032e0d89e07c714b5c9845d4e2decf33.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13699\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Parton called Cowboy Carter a \u201creally, really good album,\u201d one that features two cameos from the Country Music Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parton is heard in the track \u201cDolly P,\u201d in which she plays a fake radio DJ queuing up the next set of songs. The \u201c9 to 5\u201d singer also contributed to the song \u201cTyrant,\u201d which is featured later on the record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 10th track on the album is Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s fiery rendition of \u201cJolene,\u201d which Parton loved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/beyonce-mufasa-premiere-121724-2d81c0e6ab49445690e549c32f4da924.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13702\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was just honored that she, of course, did a completely different take on \u2018Jolene\u2019 than than my version of it,\u201d Parton tells PEOPLE. \u201cHers was more like, \u2018Well, you\u2019re not getting him, you\u2019re not taking him, you\u2019re going to go through me to get him.\u2019 Mine was more like, \u2018Please don\u2019t take him!\u2019 So I loved her interpretation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She continued, \u201cAs a writer, you like to hear how different people interpret your songs, and how they put their own spin and do their own take on it. But I was very proud of it, and I hope her tour does great, and I\u2019m sure it will.
