He had suffered headaches for a year before collapsing in a seizure at home in Southampton. His symptoms were initially dismissed as minor or vision-related.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/glenn-colmer-060325-7-86a43fe0f02b4cdc90c16ea23a95f922.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14109\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Four days after being hospitalized, Glenn Colmer, 51, was diagnosed with a high-grade glioma. His wife, Ali, called the news horrendous. The diagnosis shattered their family, leaving Glenn silent and vacant, his once vibrant spirit extinguished by the grim reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Glen_Colmer_2.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14106\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Glenn\u2019s condition worsened quickly. Weakened and in pain, he was rushed to the hospital on February 25 with a brain hemorrhage. Unable to speak, he held his family&#8217;s hands tightly\u2014his silent farewell, a final gesture of love and gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en33.usnews.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/glenn-colmer-060325-3-f1d4c081f39a476fa803a4bbcd3e4921.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14107\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Glenn died on February 28; a GoFundMe has been established to raise funds for a memorial bench in his honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGlenn was more than his diagnosis. He was a mentor, a joker, a passionate teacher and friend,\u201d said Ali who added that more than 500 people attended his funeral. \u201cHe touched lives across the world.
