After months of treatment, doctors told them there was nothing more they could do. Determined to make her final days special, they asked Emma what she wanted most.Her answer? To marry her 10-year-old boyfriend, DJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike most kids who dream of Disneyland, Emma dreamed of being a wife and having children. She and DJ had even tried to \u201cmarry\u201d in school the year before. This time, with the support of their families and local volunteers\u2014nicknamed \u201cEmma\u2019s Army\u201d\u2014her wish came true. With help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the wedding was arranged in just two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emma wore a purple dress and was wheeled down the aisle by her parents. DJ called her the most beautiful girl he\u2019d ever seen. The two exchanged rings, vows, and a kiss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just weeks later, on July 11, 2023, Emma passed away at age 10. Her obituary remembered her as a joyful, kind-hearted girl who loved crafts, laughter, and her \u201chusband,\u201d DJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emma\u2019s story is a touching reminder of the power of love, even in the face of loss.
