The accident involved a\u00a0\u00a0<strong>trailer<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0that, after being unable to stop in time, collided with several vehicles. As a result, the vehicle ended up across the road, occupying all three north-south lanes of traffic, causing a\u00a0\u00a0<strong>partial closure<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0of the highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Causes of the accident and traffic conditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred as the trailer was traveling toward&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Mexico City<\/strong>&nbsp;. Failing to brake in time before the&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Jorobas<\/strong>&nbsp;intersection , the driver crashed into a bank and then struck&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>five cars and a pickup truck<\/strong>&nbsp;. Due to the&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>wet<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;road conditions caused by the&nbsp; day\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>rain<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;, it is suspected that road conditions may have played a role in the accident, although authorities will investigate the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Injuries and safety recommendations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>injured , who had minor injuries.
