That was the case recently, when one cat fought off two coyotes to save her doggy sister.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lane Dyer, of Edmond, Oklahoma, is the owner of two pets, a little white 6-year-old Havanese dog named Oakley, and a black cat named Binx, who showed up as a stray when she was two months old, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kfor.com\/news\/local\/cat-saves-dog-from-coyote-attack\/\">KFOR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31811 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-djur.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/01\/03182707\/screenshot.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"381\" height=\"262\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cdn-djur.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/01\/03182707\/screenshot.png\" data-eio-rwidth=\"381\" data-eio-rheight=\"262\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dyer told the outlet that the two animals were \u201cpolar opposites,\u201d but still got along like family \u2014 a bond that was proven recently when one got into a life-threatening entanglement.<\/p>\n<p>On November 30, Oakley was let out into the yard to use the bathroom, when suddenly a coyote appeared and attacked the little dog. Oakley was overpowered by the wild animal, and when a second coyote showed up it seemed like Oakley was doomed.<\/p>\n<p>But then, an unlikely hero stepped up to save the day: Binx darted towards the coyotes, scaring them off from their attack and causing them to retreat.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-watch-the-unbelievable-moment-here\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Watch the unbelievable moment here:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Oakley was left in bad shape from the ordeal, and was reportedly \u201cgushing blood\u201d from her chest and side.<\/p>\n<p>The Dyers rushed her to the nearby hospital; while vets initially thought they might have to amputate the dog\u2019s leg, but thankfully the limb was saved.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31812 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-djur.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/01\/03182743\/Screenshot-2024-01-03-at-12.58.00-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"593\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cdn-djur.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/01\/03182743\/Screenshot-2024-01-03-at-12.58.00-PM.jpg\" data-eio-rwidth=\"593\" data-eio-rheight=\"532\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With Oakley on her way to a full recovery, the owners looked at the security tape and discovered their cat\u2019s life-saving heroism.
