Rachel\u2019s daughter. The girl Emily had helped raise. The girl Daniel once adored\u2014until he began to avoid her.<\/p>\n

Amanda\u2019s voice broke the silence: \u201cDaniel is her father.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniel\u2019s face turned white. Then he collapsed.<\/p>\n

Later, gasping for breath on the floor, he confessed: \u201cI didn\u2019t cheat. I didn\u2019t say yes. I passed out. I woke up and she was already on top of me.\u201d<\/p>\n
