Donald Trump\u2019s bombing of the sovereign nation of Iran was an act of war that he made without Congressional approval, and he must be impeached for it.<\/p>\n

We are not a dictatorship, where the idle whims of a president can drag our nation into conflict with others. Only the people\u2019s representatives can decide to take us to war if they feel it is in the best interests of the public \u2014 not because an old man who watches too much television got bullied into it by his staffers and other leaders.<\/p>\n

Impeach Trump!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Democratic lawmakers are already taking up the call. \u201cThe President\u2019s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,\u201d wrote Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter. \u201cHe has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations\u2026It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Congress must assert its authority and remind Trump that he does not have the authority to go to war with other countries \u2014 and they need to do it fast, before this unhinged and unrestrained warmonger does it again.<\/p>\n

According to the new report, Trump\u2019s claim that the targets were \u201ccompletely and fully obliterated\u201d was patently false. He was so eager to claim a victory for his braying MAGA base that he totally jumped the gun.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Pentagon\u2019s Defense Intelligence Agency has concluded that the strikes likely only set Iran\u2019s nuclear program back by a few months, an utterly meaningless delay in geopolitical terms. The assessment was based on battle damage surveyed in the wake of the strike.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Four sources familiar with the assessment spoke to CNN. Two of them stated that Iran\u2019s enriched uranium stockpile survived the bombings. Another stated that the centrifuges remain mostly \u201cintact.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

NBC News previously reported that the \u201cextent of the damage to the deeply buried facility at Fordo\u201d as well as the sites at Isfahan and Natanz has yet to be determined. According to that report, roughly 400 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium is still \u201cpublicly unaccounted for.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The New York Times reports that the uranium in question could be enough to make nine or ten atomic bombs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as \u2018top secret\u2019 but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community,\u201d said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that the House and Senate were supposed to receive classified briefings on the strikes today but those briefings were canceled. The Senate briefing has been rescheduled for Thursday. The obvious conclusion is that Trump doesn\u2019t want Congress to know that his attacks failed until he\u2019s had time to spin up a new narrative.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This is textbook Trump. He doesn\u2019t care about reality, he cares about driving media cycles and projected a fabricated reality to his followers. It doesn\u2019t matter to him if the nuclear facilities were actually destroyed as long as he can claim that they were.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
