Beverly D\u2019Angelo is best known for playing Ellen Griswold in the National Lampoon\u2019s Vacation<\/em> series, a role that made her a beloved figure in American pop culture. Born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1951, she came from a creative family\u2014her mother was a violinist, and her father a TV station manager. Before acting, she worked as a backup singer and illustrator, showcasing her artistic versatility early on.<\/p>\n
