Juliana Marins, a 26-year-old Brazilian traveler, tragically died after falling into a volcano crater on Indonesia\u2019s Lombok island. Her final text to her mother, sent just before the incident, has now been revealed\u2014every mother\u2019s worst nightmare.<\/p>\n
\u201cMami, I love you so much. I was heartbroken when we said goodbye,<\/em>\u201d she wrote. Juliana, known for her love of adventure, added: \u201cI\u2019m not afraid. I was raised by a woman who solves anything. I\u2019m like that too.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n On June 21, while hiking Gunung Rinjani, she paused to rest but became separated from her group. She later fell from a 500-meter cliff. Her lifeless body was located by drone two days later.<\/p>\n Juliana\u2019s family, devastated, blamed rescue delays. \u201cIf the team had reached her within 7 hours, Juliana would still be alive,\u201d they posted online.<\/p>\n Brazil\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed her body was recovered after four days, amid difficult weather and terrain. Lawmakers have since called for an investigation.<\/p>\n Senator Tereza Cristina wrote: \u201cJuliana was left behind twice\u2014on the trail and after the fall. She deserved better. We demand justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
