Trump Signs \u2018Big, Beautiful Bill\u2019
\nOn July 3, Congress approved an almost 1,000-page budget overhaul in a narrow 218-214 vote. The legislation, dubbed by Trump as his \u201cbig, beautiful bill,\u201d will add $3.4 trillion to the national debt over the next decade. Currently, the debt stands at $36.2 trillion.
\nThe bill delivers on Trump\u2019s 2024 campaign promises by providing tax breaks. However, it also cuts health and food safety programs, raising concerns among many Americans.<\/p>\n

Obama Urges Opposition Ahead of Vote
\nBefore the vote, Obama called on citizens to contact their representatives and oppose the bill. He warned, \u201cMore than 16 million Americans risk losing their health care because Republicans are rushing to pass legislation cutting Medicaid funding and weakening the Affordable Care Act.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cIf the House passes this bill, it will increase costs and hurt working-class families for generations.\u201d Then he urged people: \u201cCall your representative today and tell them to vote no.\u201d<\/p>\n
