Shooting at NC House Party Leaves 1 Dead, 11 Injured<\/strong><\/p>\n

A deadly shooting at a house party in Mountain View, near Hickory, North Carolina, left one person dead and eleven injured early Sunday morning, June 1.<\/p>\n

The Catawba County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded around 12:45 a.m. to the scene on Walnut Acres Drive.<\/p>\n

About 100 people, including children, were at a pool party when \u201cmultiple shots were fired\u201d in both the front and back yards.<\/p>\n

The area of the crime extended into a neighboring yard, creating \u201ca large and active investigation area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed \u201cmultiple firearms were used,\u201d but no suspects have been identified or arrested. One victim remains in critical condition; others are still hospitalized.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing with help from the State Bureau of Investigation. Officials urge anyone with information to contact the Catawba County Sheriff\u2019s Office at 828-464-3112.<\/p>\n
